Ingredients

1 lb low-fat sausage
3 -4 cups Prego spaghetti sauce
1 can diced tomatoes , italian style ( optional )
2 -3 teaspoons garlic salt
1 -2 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 boxes lasagna noodles
2 cups light mozzarella cheese , shredded
1 3/4 cups light cheddar cheese , shredded
16 ounces low fat cottage cheese
8 ounces light ricotta cheese
1 can spinach , drained
Lasagna is a classic Italian dish that dates back hundreds of years. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.In a frying pan, cook the sausage over medium heat until it's no longer pink. Drain any excess fat from the pan.
3.Add the spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes (if using), garlic salt, onion powder, black pepper, and oregano to the pan. Simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes.
4.While the sauce is simmering, cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions. Drain and rinse the noodles under cool water.
5.In a mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella, cheddar, cottage cheese, ricotta, and drained spinach.
6.In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer the lasagna noodles, followed by the cheese mixture, and then the sauce. Repeat this layering process until all of your ingredients have been used.
7.Cover the lasagna with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes.
8.Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes to allow the cheese to brown. Let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
