2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
2.Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.
3.In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, and baking powder.
4.In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with the sugar until creamy.
5.Beat in the eggs one at a time.
6.Gradually beat in the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, until the batter is smooth.
7.Stir in the grappa, sliced pears, raisins or chopped pitted prune, and toasted pine nuts.
8.Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
9.Bake the cake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
10.Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes and then remove the sides of the springform pan and let the cake cool on a wire rack.
11.In a small saucepan, whisk together the 2 large eggs, sugar, cinnamon, unsalted butter, heavy cream, and grappa.
12.Cook this over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
13.Let the glaze cool for 5 minutes and pour it over the top of the cooled cake.
14.Finish by garnishing it with your choice of nuts, fruits, or whipped cream.
