Ingredients

1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 1/3 cups warm water
2 teaspoons brown sugar
4 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
3 - 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour ( I used 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 all-purpose flour )
yellow cornmeal , for dusting your pizza pan
1/2 lb bulk Italian sausage
1 1/2 cups pizza sauce ( or less , we do n't like a whole lot of sauce )
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese ( I actually used 4 Cheese Mexican Blend but the recipe was not accepted with that )
1/2 - 1 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup copped fresh mushrooms
1/2 medium sweet red pepper , sliced in thin strips
1/2 medium green pepper , sliced in thin strips
1/3 cup sliced red onion
1 jalapeno pepper , cut in half seeds removed then sliced

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, combine the yeast, warm water, brown sugar, olive oil, kosher salt, garlic salt, dried oregano, and all-purpose flour.
2.Mix well until the dough is formed.
3.Knead the dough a bit, then let it rest for 10 minutes.
4.Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
5.Roll out your pizza dough onto a floured surface, then place it onto a pizza pan that has been dusted with yellow cornmeal.
6.Spread pizza sauce on top of your dough, then the pizza toppings, including the sliced mushrooms, red and green peppers, and the sliced red onion.
7.Add the whole jalapeno slices, unless you prefer a milder flavor, in which case remove the seeds before chopping.
8.Place slices of veggie sausage on the pizza.
9.Add shredded mozzarella cheese all over the pizza, followed by the cheddar cheese, and the parmesan cheese.
10.Grill the pizza on indirect medium heat for at least 12-15 minutes until the bottom is crispy, and the toppings are done.
11.Slice into pieces, and enjoy!
