Ingredients

1 egg
1 jar garlic and onion pasta sauce ( 1 3/4 cups )
1/4 cup seasoned dry bread crumb
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
12 ounces ground beef
2 ounces mozzarella cheese
4 slices prosciutto ( thin slices ) or 4 slices ham , about 2 oz ( thin slices )
1 package refrigerated fresh fettuccine or ( 9 ounce ) package spinach fettuccine
finely shredded parmesan cheese
Little Sicilian Meatloaves are individual servings of meatloaf that are stuffed with mozzarella cheese and wrapped with prosciutto. The dish is then served over fettuccine pasta and topped with a flavorful garlic and onion pasta sauce. This main dish is inspired by the cuisine of Sicily and combines the flavors of Italy with an American classic. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2.In a large bowl, whisk the egg, 1/2 cup pasta sauce, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
3.Add ground beef and mix well.
4.Divide beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into an oval; place ovals on a baking sheet.
5.Flatten the top of each oval slightly and spoon 2 tablespoons of pasta sauce over each meatloaf.
6.Cut cheese into 4 thin slices; place a slice on top of each meatloaf.
7.Wrap 1 prosciutto slice around the middle of each meatloaf.
8.Bake for 30 minutes or until meat is cooked through. Remove meatloaves from oven; allow to rest for 5 minutes.
9.While meatloaves are resting, cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat.
10.Serve meatloaves over pasta with remaining pasta sauce and shredded Parmesan cheese.
