Ingredients

2 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
salt and pepper
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 -2 tablespoon garlic powder
1 -2 tablespoon dried onion flakes
2 -3 tablespoons italian seasoning
2 jars commercial spaghetti sauce ( any brand )
1 carton ricotta cheese
1 carton cottage cheese
3 packages shredded mozzarella cheese
parmesan cheese or romano cheese
1 package lasagna noodle
fresh Baby Spinach ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2.In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
3.Add salt, pepper, beef bouillon cubes, garlic powder, onion flakes, and Italian seasoning to the skillet and stir until the beef is coated in the spices.
4.Pour in the spaghetti sauce and mix well. Allow the meat sauce to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
5.In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, and 1 1/2 packages of shredded mozzarella cheese.
6.Now it's time to assemble the lasagna! In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Layer on a few lasagna noodles, then spread a layer of the cheese mixture on top. Repeat the layers until all of the ingredients are used up.
7.Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the lasagna. Lastly, sprinkle grated parmesan or romano cheese on top.
8.Cover the lasagna with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
9.Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
