800 g tomatoes , canned is fine
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper

basil leaves , torn

Instructions

1.Place the celery, carrot, zucchini, onion, and garlic into the Thermomix bowl. Close the lid and chop the vegetables for 5 seconds on speed 5.
2.Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula, add the olive oil and tomato paste. Cook for 5 minutes at 120°C on speed 1.
3.Add the red wine, canned tomatoes, bay leaf, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Cook for 30 minutes at 100°C in the reverse direction on speed 1.
4.Remove the bay leaf and blend the sauce for 1 minute on speed 7.
5.Serve with your favorite pasta and garnish with torn fresh basil leaves.
