Ingredients

350 g strong white flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
7 ml dried yeast
2 tablespoons olive oil
225 ml warm water
1 red onion , thinly sliced into half moons
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons garlic , chopped
2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1 tablespoon coarse salt

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and sugar together.
2.In another bowl, mix the dried yeast in 2 tablespoons of olive oil along with warm water and stir.
3.Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and mix well.
4.Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
5.Oil a baking tray with olive oil.
6.Flatten the kneaded dough on the baking tray.
7.Cover the dough and allow it to rise for 30-40 minutes in a warm place.
8.Preheat the oven to 220C.
9.Mix the onion, garlic, rosemary, and coarse salt with the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil.
10.Lightly press your fingertips into the top of the dough, creating small indentations for the topping.
11.Spread the onion mixture evenly over the top of the dough.
12.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
13.Let it cool down before slicing and serving.
