3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cans crushed tomatoes
2 teaspoons onion powder
1/4 cup dry red wine

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.Pound the steak slices thin with a meat mallet and sprinkle with ½ tsp salt and ⅛ tsp black pepper.

4.Spread the filling over each steak, leaving about ½ inch on one of the long sides.
5.Roll the steak up tightly, tucking the ends in and securing each roll with a toothpick or two.
6.Heat the oil in a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven.
7.Add the rolls and cook until browned on the outside.
8.Add the onions and cook until translucent. Add the tomato sauce, red wine, remaining oregano, onion powder, ½ tsp salt, and ⅛ tsp black pepper.
9.Cover with a lid and bake for 2-2.5 hours, until the meat is tender. Remove the toothpicks and serve hot.
