Ingredients

12 ounces fresh strawberries ( hull removed )
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

1.Rinse and dry the strawberries, then remove the hulls.
2.In a food processor, puree the strawberries until smooth.
3.Add the sugar and lemon juice and mix well.
4.Add the milk and cream to a medium saucepan and heat over low heat until it begins to steam. Remove from heat.
5.Add the pureed strawberry mixture to the milk mixture and whisk until well combined.
6.Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
7.Once chilled and firm, transfer to a container and place in the freezer for at least 3 hours before serving.
