Ingredients

100 g butter
350 g bittersweet chocolate ( use a good quality )
1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
5 large eggs
250 g granulated sugar
130 g walnuts , divided
1 tablespoon cocoa powder , to garnish
1 tablespoon powdered sugar , to garnish

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 180C/350F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
2.Melt the butter, chocolate, instant coffee and 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until well combined and remove from heat.
3.In a separate mixing bowl, beat together the eggs and sugar until pale and creamy. Stir in half of the chopped walnuts.
4.Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the eggs and sugar until well combined.
5.Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the remaining chopped walnuts on top.
6.Bake for 45 minutes or until the cake is set around the edges and slightly jiggly in the middle. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
7.To serve, dust the top of the cake with the second tablespoon of cocoa powder and powdered sugar.
