Italian BBQ Pork Chops are a great way to switch up your typical grilled pork chops. The tangy, sweet BBQ sauce is made with a combination of balsamic vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic and Worcestershire sauce, giving it an Italian twist. Pork chops are often a go-to for a quick and easy weeknight dinner, and this recipe is no exception. Simply brush the chops with the sauce, grill, and serve with your favorite grilled vegetables and a side salad for a complete meal that the whole family will love.

Instructions

1.Preheat the grill to high heat.
2.In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the balsamic vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes.
3.Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper, then brush the chops generously with the BBQ sauce.
4.Grill the pork chops for 5-7 minutes per side, until charred on the outside and cooked through on the inside.
5.Remove the pork chops from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

PROS

These pork chops are full of flavor, thanks to the Italian-style BBQ sauce that is both tangy and sweet.
They are also very easy to prepare and cook on the grill.

CONS

Pork chops can be dry if cooked too long on the grill, so it’s important to monitor the cooking time closely and not overcook them.

The BBQ sauce can be high in sugar and calories, so it should be used in moderation if you are watching your diet.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

Pork is a good source of protein and essential nutrients, including vitamin B12, niacin, and zinc.
The BBQ sauce can be made healthier by using low-sugar ketchup and reducing the amount of brown sugar in the recipe.
