6 eggs , beaten
1 pound ground pork
1 pound ground veal
1 pound ground beef

6 hard-boiled eggs , peeled ( optional )

6.For meatballs, soak torn Italian bread pieces in 1 cup of water. Squeeze excess water from the bread.
7.Mix bread, beaten eggs, ground pork, ground veal, ground beef, minced garlic, chopped fresh basil, salt, and pepper together in a separate bowl.
8.Shape mixture into meatballs.
9.Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides.
10.Add browned meatballs to the spaghetti sauce and let cook for 30 minutes.
11.If desired, add hard-boiled eggs to the sauce and let cook for an additional 15 minutes.
12.Serve hot over spaghetti.
