Ingredients

3 lbs Italian sausage , whatever you kind you like , about 14-16 large sausages
2 medium onions , cut into wedges and separated
6 -8 large zucchini , cut into coins
2 jars tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt ( or more to taste )
pepper , to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese , grated
1 box penne
Zucchini and Sausage Milano is a classic Italian dish that pairs the flavors of Italian sausage and zucchini in a hearty and comforting way. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.

5.In a large bowl, mix together the cooked sausage and zucchini mixture. Spread half of the mixture in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with half of the grated mozzarella cheese. Repeat with remaining sausage mixture and mozzarella cheese.
6.Cook the penne according to package instructions. Drain and add to the baking dish. Mix everything together gently.
7.Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
