36 jumbo pasta shells
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup water
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 can refried beans
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 can chopped green chiles
1 can tomato sauce
3/4 cup picante sauce
This Mexican Stuffed Shells recipe is a twist on the classic Italian stuffed shells recipe, featuring bold, spicy flavors that are common in Mexican cuisine. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.Cook the pasta shells in boiling water for 10-12 minutes until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
3.In a pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat and then add the water and taco seasoning mix. Stir until well combined.
4.Add the refried beans, Cheddar cheese and green chiles to the pan. Mix well.
5.In a separate bowl, combine the tomato sauce and picante sauce.
6.Pour approximately 1/3 of the tomato sauce mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
7.Stuff each shell with a generous amount of the beef mixture and place them in the baking dish, seam side down.
8.Pour the remaining tomato sauce mixture over the top of the stuffed shells.
9.Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
10.Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbling.
