1 lb ham , cut in pieces ( mortadella or salami )
7 tablespoons flour
1 beer
3 ounces brandy
1 tablespoon tomato paste
Tabasco sauce ( optional )
salt and pepper
1 egg , poached scrambed egg ( optional )

Instructions

1.In a large skillet, cook the onions and olive oil until they are caramelized. Add water and bay leaves to the onions and simmer for 10 minutes

8.Place some meat on top of the cheese, and then add another layer of sandwich bread.
9.Cover the sandwich with more cheese and bake for 5 more minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
