1 egg , combined with 2 tblsp . milk and beaten lightly

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.

3.Divide the dough in half and flatten each into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

5.Roll out one disk to fit the pan. Place the rolled disc into the pan and prick the bottom with the fork. Set aside.
6.In a large bowl, whisk together cream, kirsch, and sugar. Stir in walnuts.
7.Pour the mixture onto the dough in the cake pan.
8.Roll out the remaining dough to a circle that will fit over the filling in the pan. Place the disc on top of the filling and press the edges together.
9.Brush with egg and milk mixture.
10.Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
11.Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
