Ingredients

1 medium white onion , ground
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce ( I used Sweet Baby Ray 's hickory & brown sugar )
4 tablespoons water ( or pineapple juice , if you have some )
8 hamburger buns
8 slices swiss cheese ( or any other WI made cheese )

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground ham, onion, cloves, white pepper, and 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce until well mixed.
2.Add in the water and mix again.

4.Add in the remaining barbecue sauce and stir until heated through.
5.Toast the hamburger buns and place a slice of Swiss cheese on the bottom bun of each sandwich.
6.Spoon the ham mixture onto the cheese and top with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.
