Instructions

1.In a food processor, combine ginger and sugar and process until fine.
2.Add flour and salt and pulse a few times.
3.Add butter and pulse until the mixture looks sandy.
4.Add milk and pulse until the dough comes together.
5.Press the dough into a 9 inch tart pan with removable bottom.
6.Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C).
7.Cut the peaches and nectarines into thin slices and arrange them in the tart shell.
8.Chop the candied ginger and sprinkle it over the fruit.
9.In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream, egg, and brown sugar.
10.Pour the mixture over the fruit.
11.Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
