Ingredients

3 1/2 - 4 lbs roast
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 beef bouillon cube , I use Better Than Bouillon Beef Base , just follow directions on jar
1 bay leaf
3 -4 peppercorns
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon garlic powder
6 hoagie rolls or 6 crusty French bread

Instructions

1.Place the roast in a slow cooker.
2.Mix soy sauce, beef bouillon, bay leaf, peppercorns, rosemary, thyme and garlic powder in 2 cups of water. Pour over the roast.
3.Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours.
4.Remove the roast from the slow cooker and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Slice the roast thinly.
5.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
6.Split the hoagie rolls or French bread into halves.
7.Place the sliced roast on the bottom half of hoagie rolls or French bread. Add some cheese on top of the beef.
8.Add the top half of hoagie rolls or French bread to it.
9.Brush each sandwich with butter and sprinkle some garlic powder on top of it.
10.Wrap the sandwiches in tinfoil and place them in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Take out from the oven and serve hot.
