Ingredients

2 sheets frozen puff pastry
5 ounces brioche bread , diced
1/2 cup milk
1 large onion , finely chopped
2 garlic cloves , minced
2 lbs ground pork

3 sprigs fresh thyme

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 eggs , divided
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

1.Let the puff pastry thaw and preheat the oven to 350°F.

9.Use the other puff pastry to make a lid by cutting it a little larger than the dish cover the top of the pie with it and crimp the edges to seal.
10.Crack one egg into a bowl, beat it, and brush it over the top of the pie.
11.Use a sharp knife to cut three small slits in the top of the pie to allow steam to escape during cooking.
12.Bake the pie for approximately one hour, or until it is golden brown and looks crisp.
13.Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
