1 ounce butter
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tablespoon honey
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup sultana raisin
2 sheets puff pastry
3 tablespoons ground almonds
1 egg , lightly beaten
2 tablespoons soft brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Apple strudels are a traditional dessert that originated in Austria and is popular in many parts of Europe. They are made with a layer of crisp puff pastry that is filled with sweet-tart apples cooked in a spiced syrup. The filling is then rolled up inside the pastry, baked, and sprinkled with sugar to create a golden, flaky dessert that's perfect for any occasion. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2.Peel and core the apples, then slice them thinly.
3.In a large pan, melt the butter and add the orange juice, honey, sugar, and raisins. Cook for 5 minutes until the mixture becomes syrupy.
4.Add the sliced apples to the pan and continue to cook for about 10 to 15 minutes until the apples are tender. Stir occasionally.
5.Combine the ground almonds, soft brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
6.Lay one sheet of puff pastry on the baking sheet. Spread half of the almond mixture over the pastry sheet. Spoon half of the cooked apples over the almond mixture, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
7.Roll up the pastry sheet from the shorter edge, and tuck the ends underneath. Brush the surface with the beaten egg and sprinkle with a little extra sugar if desired. Repeat with the second sheet of puff pastry and the remaining filling.
8.Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
