48 mussels , debearded and scrubbed
32 littleneck clams , scrubbed
1 lb fresh salmon fillet , cut into 16 pieces
1 lb fresh halibut fillet , cut into 16 pieces
4 lobster tails , shelled and halved
32 raw shrimp , peeled and deveined
salt
ground black pepper

Instructions

1.In a large pot, simmer the fish stock, canned diced tomatoes, celery, leek, bay leaves, red pepper flakes, and saffron threads for 20 minutes.
2.Add the mussels and clams, and cook until they start to open up, about 5 minutes.
3.Add the salmon, halibut, lobster tails, and raw shrimp, and cook until the fish is just opaque, about 10 minutes.
4.Remove the pot from the heat and season the bouillabaisse with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot with crusty bread.
