Ingredients

1 loaf bread , sliced 1/2 - 1 inch thick ( I use 16 oz . of my favorite bread such as French bread , Hawaiian bread or cinnamon swirl bread )
5 eggs
1 cup half-and-half
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar , packed
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup chopped pecans ( optional )
Sticky Bun French Toast is a decadent twist on classic French toast. This dish takes stale or leftover bread and transforms it into an indulgent breakfast or brunch. The bread is dipped in an egg mixture, then soaked in a mixture of butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup, and baked until golden brown. Instructions

1.Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2.In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, half-and-half, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
3.Dip slices of bread in egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.
4.Arrange coated bread slices evenly in the prepared baking dish.
5.In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup until smooth.
6.Pour syrup mixture over the bread, soaking each slice.
7.Sprinkle pecans (optional) over the top of the bread.
8.Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
9.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
10.Remove cover from the baking dish and bake for 30 minutes. Let it cool for a few minutes. Now ready to serve!
