Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, mix all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder.
2.In another mixing bowl, cream butter and white sugar with an electric mixer.
3.Beat in one egg at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
4.Fold in the flour mixture alternatively with the milk.
5.In another mixing bowl, soak the chopped dried figs, raisins, walnuts, and honey in dark rum for 1 hour.
6.Grate the zest of the orange and squeeze the juice into the mixing bowl.
7.Combine the fig mixture with the batter and stir well until combined.
8.Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
9.Form the dough into oval shape balls and flatten them. Place them on the baking sheet.
10.Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the cookies are golden brown.
