Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

4.Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then remove from heat and let cool.
5.In a medium bowl, mix the drained cherries with 1/4 cup of the reserved syrup.

7.Cut the pound cake into 4 slices horizontally.
8.Place the bottom slice of pound cake into the prepared springform pan.

11.Spread one-third of the ricotta mixture over the fruit layer.
12.Repeat the layers two more times, ending with a layer of ricotta mixture.
13.Place in the fridge for an hour to set.
14.Melt the chopped chocolate in a double boiler, stir in butter and 1/4 cup Marsala wine until smooth.
15.Remove the cake from the fridge, cut a slice, and serve with the chocolate sauce.
