1 1/2 cups water
2 packages frozen spinach , defrosted
2 cups chopped dill
1/2 - 3/4 lb feta cheese
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil ( optional )
1 medium chopped onion
3 chopped garlic cloves
1 teaspoon butter
2 teaspoons olive oil
garlic salt , to taste
4 sheets phyllo dough , defrosted
3 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

1.Rinse buckwheat groats and boil in 1 1/2 cups of water for 15 minutes.
2.Preheat oven to 400°F.
3.In a large mixing bowl, add spinach, dill, crumbled feta cheese, black pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix well.
4.In a skillet sauté onions and garlic in butter and olive oil until tender. Add garlic salt to taste.
5.Add sautéed onions and garlic to the spinach mixture and mix well.
6.Pat the phyllo sheets down with a paper towel and brush olive oil on them.
7.Layer the phyllo by adding one sheet at a time, brushing olive oil over each sheet, and adding garlic salt to taste. Repeat with remaining phyllo.
8.Pour the spinach mixture over the phyllo.
9.Fold edges of the phyllo over the spinach mixture.
10.Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
