Ingredients

150 g unsalted pistachio nuts
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
150 g unsalted butter ( chilled and chopped )
185 g self-raising flour
310 g caster sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 lime
This cake recipe is the perfect combination of pistachio, yoghurt, and cardamom. The ingredients come together beautifully to create a cake that's perfect for tea time or dessert. Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan-bake).
2.Place the pistachios and cardamom into a food processor and process until finely finely
3.Transfer to a bowl, add flour and sugar and mix to combine.
4.Add butter and 3 eggs and whisk it
5.Add yoghurt,zest and juice of lime and mix well
6.Pour the cake batter into the lined cake tin and smooth out the top.
7.Bake the cake for 1 hour 10 minutes or until a skewer is inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.
8.Leave the cake to cool for 5–10 minutes, before taking it out of the tin. Leave the cake to cool completely before slicing.

PROS

This cake is a great combination of pistachio, yoghurt and cardamom that creates a fantastic taste and aroma.

It’s not overly sweet and is perfect for serving tea time or dessert.
