Ingredients

1000 g green walnuts
1200 g sugar
300 ml water
2 lemons ( juice )
5 cloves
1 piece cinnamon stick

Instructions

1.Cut off the stem of each walnut with a sharp knife.
2.Make 2-3 small holes in the the walnuts using a toothpick.
3.Add walnuts, sugar, water, lemon juice, cinnamon stick and cloves to a large pot and bring to boil.
4.Reduce heat to low and simmer for 40-45 minutes or until the walnuts are soft and the syrup is thick.
5.Let the walnuts cool in the syrup before transferring them into a glass jar and storing it in the fridge.
