Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
2.Separate the egg whites from egg yolks. Beat the egg yolks and softened butter together until creamy.
3.Add sugar, melted chocolate and flour into the mixture and blend together.
4.Whip the egg whites until they form stiff peaks. Gently fold the egg whites into the cake batter mixture.
5.Grease an 8-inch cake pan with butter and dust with flour. Pour the batter mixture into the pan and bake for 45 minutes.
6.Spread apricot preserves on the cake once it cools completely.
7.Make the chocolate glaze by melt chocolate and butter together over low heat, then pour over the cake once it's cooled.
8.Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the top of the cake and serve.
