1 loaf French bread or 1 loaf Italian bread ( or 2 smaller loaves )

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
2.In a small bowl, mix together the butter, garlic, parsley or chervil, thyme or tarragon, salt, and pepper until well combined.

4.Spread the herb butter mixture generously over the top of each slice, making sure to get some in between the slices.
5.Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the bread is warm and the butter has melted.
