The Croque Boum is a French twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich. It is traditionally made with ham, swiss cheese, and béchamel sauce, but this recipe simplifies the process by using spaghetti sauce for dipping instead. The sandwich is warm and comforting, perfect for chilly mornings. The melted swiss cheese and ham complement each other perfectly, and the spaghetti sauce adds a touch of acidity and sweetness. It's a great way to start the day!

Instructions

1.Heat a skillet over low heat.
2.Spread 1/2 teaspoon of butter over one side of each bread slice.
3.Place 1 slice of swiss cheese on the non-buttered side of 1 of the bread slices. Top cheese with ham. Place remaining slice of swiss cheese on top of ham.
4.Top sandwich with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
5.Place sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
6.Serve hot with heated spaghetti sauce for dipping.
