1 head cabbage , Tina says green , but think you could use red if available
1 onion , finely chopped
1 cup apple juice
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 cup light corn syrup or 1/4 cup honey
butter ( for frying )
salt and pepper
