1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb ground pork
3 eggs
salt & pepper ( to taste )
1 tablespoon ground cardamom
1 1/2 cups yellow onions , finely chopped ( divided use )
1/2 cup butter ( divided use )
2 tablespoons sugar
3 cups beef broth
2 cups heavy cream
3 tablespoons gravy mix
1 teaspoon fresh ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 -4 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup lingonberry preserves or 1/4 cup lingonberry jam

Instructions

10.Reduce the heat to low, then whisk the cornstarch and water together in a small bowl until smooth and pour into the skillet.
11.Stir the flour and remaining butter together in a small bowl until smooth, then add it to the skillet, whisking constantly until the gravy is smooth and has thickened.
12.Stir in the sour cream and lingonberry preserves or jam until they are fully combined.
13.Add the meatballs to the gravy, stirring to coat them thoroughly, then cook until the meatballs are heated through.
