Ingredients

1 cup butter ( no substitutes )
1 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup walnuts , chopped

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Add in egg yolk and mix until well blended.
3.In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and cinnamon. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until the dough comes together.
4.Press the dough evenly into an ungreased 9x13 inch baking sheet. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top and press into the dough to ensure the walnuts stick.
5.Bake in preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
6.While still warm, cut into small squares. Allow to cool and enjoy!
