Ingredients

1 lb ground beef ( I prefer chuck )
1 lb ground turkey
1 link mild Italian sausage ( ground )
1 medium sweet onion ( finely chopped )
1 medium pepper ( I usually use red , also finely chopped )
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 eggs ( beaten )
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese ( shredded )
2 small tomatoes ( or 1 large )
1/8 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground turkey, ground Italian sausage, onion, red pepper, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, breadcrumbs, and beaten eggs.
3.Add shredded cheddar cheese and mix until well combined.
4.Peel and slice tomatoes and place them on top of the meat mixture in a baking dish.
5.In another bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar and dark brown sugar. Pour the mixture over tomatoes.
6.Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
