This recipe puts a twist on the traditional recipe by using ground round and bratwurst, which add a savory flavor that pairs well with the tender cabbage rolls. The sauerkraut or canned tomatoes provide a slightly tangy flavor that balances out the richness of the meat. This dish can be served with a side of mashed potatoes, crusty bread, or a green salad.
