2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups vegetable oil
3 cups firmly-packed brown sugar
8 eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons ground allspice
4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground cloves
2 cups fresh-squeezed orange juice orange juice

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
2.In a large bowl, mix together the candied cherries, dark raisins, mixed candied fruit, and mixed nuts with 2 cups of flour until they are coated and separated.
3.In another large bowl, mix together the vegetable oil and brown sugar until well combined.
4.Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well between each addition.
5.In a separate bowl, sift together 4 cups of flour, baking powder, salt, allspice, cinnamon, and cloves.
6.Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
7.Add the orange juice to the fruit mixture and mix well.
8.Fold the fruit mixture into the batter until well combined.
9.Grease two 9x5-inch loaf pans and line them with parchment paper.
10.Spoon the batter evenly between the two prepared pans.
11.Bake for 3 hours or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
