It has a crispy outer layer and soft interior, making it a perfect comfort food and tea time snack. Although highly praised for its taste and easy preparation, it should be consumed in moderation due to its high-fat content. Moreover, its cost-effective ingredients can be easily found in your local grocery store.

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, add the sliced onions, chickpea flour, rice flour, baking powder, turmeric, black onion seeds, chili powder, ground cumin, ground coriander and salt. Mix well.
2.Slowly pour in the water while mixing to make a batter, ensuring that the onions are coated well.
3.Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
4.Once the oil is hot, use a tablespoon to scoop the batter and carefully drop it into the oil.
5.Fry the fritters until golden brown and crispy, approximately 2-3 minutes, flipping them occasionally to ensure that they are cooked evenly on both sides.
