Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix together suet, raisins, currants, sugar, buttermilk, salt, and baking soda.
2.Then add eggs, flour, vanilla, and mix them well to form a thick batter.
3.Grease a pudding mold with butter, and then sprinkle brown sugar on the bottom of it.
4.Pour the pudding batter on top of the sugar, and then pour the water on top of the mixture.
5.Cover the pudding mold with a lid or baking paper and cheesecloth.
6.Put it in a large pot of boiling water at full heat for around 3 hours. Add more water if needed.
7.Transfer the pudding onto a serving dish, and remove the mold and cheesecloth before serving.
