Ingredients

6 slices round steaks , 3/8-inch to 1/2-inch thick
2 slices bacon , chopped small
2 onions , chopped fine
1 lemon , peel only
5 cloves
3 anchovy fillets

3 tablespoons red wine vinegar or 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 1/4 cups white wine , dryish
2/3 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

7.Remove from oven and strain liquid into a separate pot.
8.In a separate small pot, melt butter and whisk in flour to make a roux.
9.Slowly add the strained liquid into the roux, whisking constantly until sauce thickens.
10.Serve the beef steaks with the sauce and crispy bacon on top.
