1 cup unsalted butter , soft plus some extra for greasing the pan
6 tablespoons caster sugar
6 tablespoons brown muscovado sugar
1/2 cup marmalade
6 tablespoons marmalade ( for glaze on top )
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 eggs
1 orange juice , and zest ( reserve juice of 1/2 an orange for the glaze )

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C Fan/Gas Mark 4 and grease a 1.5-litre pudding basin with some butter.
2.Cream together the butter, caster sugar, and muscovado sugar, then beat in the marmalade.
3.In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, and baking powder, then beat in the eggs.
4.Fold in the orange zest and juice.

8.While the cake is baking, heat the 6 tablespoons of marmalade and reserved orange juice together in a saucepan until dissolved.
