Instructions

1.Pick 3 ounces of fresh sweet violets and rinse them well in cold water, patting them dry with a clean towel.

4.After 24 hours, strain the liquid through a cheesecloth or fine strainer into a large saucepan.

6.Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce the heat to low, letting it simmer for about 10 minutes.
7.Remove the syrup from the heat and let it cool to room temperature before storing it in a clean glass jar with an airtight lid.
