3/4 cup heavy cream
2 large egg yolks , lightly beaten
1 large egg , lightly beaten with
1 tablespoon milk , fr glazing
2 teaspoons granulated sugar

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 400°F.
2.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3.Cut in the cold butter with a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4.Stir in the chopped chocolate.
5.In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and egg yolks.
6.Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
7.Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until it comes together into a smooth ball.
8.Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick.
9.Cut the circle into 8 wedges.
10.Place the wedges on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
11.Brush the tops of the scones with the egg wash.
12.Sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
13.Bake for 18-22 minutes, until golden brown.
14.Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
