2 cups milk ( whole milk tastes better but semi-skimmed and skimmed milk work )
4 tablespoons Scotch whisky ( No need to use the good stuff here )

Instructions

1.Line a rectangular baking dish with parchment paper.
2.In a large saucepan, combine the caster sugar, golden syrup, butter and milk.
3.Place the saucepan over low heat and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
4.Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring constantly.
5.Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the whisky. Stir well.
6.Beat the mixture for a few minutes until it starts to thicken and becomes grainy.
7.Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
8.Leave it to cool and set for a few hours or overnight.
9.Once set, cut the tablet into small squares and store in an airtight container.
