1 lb puff pastry
3 tablespoons marmalade
1/4 cup milk ( for brushing )

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2.Peel, core and chop the apples into small pieces.
3.In a small saucepan, combine the chopped apples, sugar, water, cinnamon, and lemon zest.
4.Cook over medium heat until the apples are tender and the mixture has thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
5.Roll out the puff pastry to an even thickness and place it onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
6.Spread the marmalade on the puff pastry, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges.
7.Spoon the apple mixture on top of the marmalade.
8.Fold the edges of the puff pastry up and over the apple mixture.
9.Brush the edges with milk.
