1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar , plus
2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 cup salted butter , softened
3/4 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.
2.Grease an 8-inch baking pan.
3.Mix the all-purpose flour and sugar well.
4.Add in softened salted butter, vanilla extract, and almond extract (optional) and stir until just combined.
5.Press the mixture lightly into your greased pan.
6.Bake it in your preheated oven for around 30-35 mins or until the shortbread turns lightly brown.
7.Once done, remove from the oven and allow it to cool.
