1/2 cup cornstarch | |
1/4 teaspoon salt | |
1 cup butter , softened | |
1/2 cup icing sugar | |
2 tablespoons heavy cream or 2 tablespoons evaporated milk | |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1. | Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). |
2. | In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, and salt. |
3. | In a large bowl, beat together butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy. |
4. | Beat in heavy cream or evaporated milk and vanilla until well combined. |
5. | Gradually beat in flour mixture until just combined. |
6. | Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on parchment-lined baking sheets. |
7. | Bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are light golden brown. |
8. | Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. |
