1 whole frying chicken , cut into 8 pieces

1 lb rutabaga , peeled and cut into � inch cubes
1 lb carrot , peeled and cut into � inch chunks
1 lb potato , peeled and cut into � inch cubes
3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter , divided
salt & freshly ground black pepper , to taste
2 ounces coarse freshly made breadcrumbs

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
