3/4 cup white wine
1/3 cup water
3/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.Spread softened butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
3.Layer potatoes and onions in buttered dish and season with salt and pepper.

5.Pour white wine, water and heavy cream over potatoes and cheese.
6.Cover tightly with foil and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
7.Uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
