Ingredients

4 cups wheat
6 cups barley
1/2 cup hop
4 cups honey
2 lbs dark brown sugar
5 1/2 teaspoons yeast , dissolved
water
Keepa Danish Beer, also known as Kandeel, is a traditional Danish beer brewed during Christmas time. This sweet and spicy beer has a distinct malty flavor with notes of caramel, honey, and spices. Perfect for sharing with friends and family during the holidays or any other special occasion that calls for a celebratory drink.

Instructions

1.Boil wheat, barley, and hop together for about 45 minutes.
2.Add honey and dark brown sugar, and continue boiling for another 15 minutes.
3.Strain the mixture and pour it into a fermenting vessel and let it cool down until it reaches room temperature.
4.Add dissolved yeast and both cold and warm water to form 5 gallons of mixture.
5.Allow the mixture to ferment for about a week, then transfer it to a secondary fermenting vessel for another two to three weeks.
6.After fermentation, fill beer bottles with the brew and carbonate it with priming sugar for about two weeks.
7.Store in a cool dark place to ensure the flavors develop nicely. Enjoy!
